Apple’s latest event was filled with announcements of many new products like the iMac, which was the main attraction of the event, and the new version of Apple TV 4K. The new TV by Apple has many upgrades and also many new features compared to the previous series of the Apple TVs. The upgrades include the new processor, reimagined Siri remote, HDMI 2.1, and the list continues. Many people are wondering about the difference between the previous version and the latest version of the Apple TV. So let us compare the two, i.e. Apple TV 4K (2021) and Apple TV 4K (2017).
The main thing which everyone considers is design. The new version of Apple TV is identical in terms of design when compared to its previous version, and this caused confusion among the people, and they are eager to know the differences between the New Apple TV and the previous Apple TV. The measurements of both the versions of Apple TVs are 3.9 inches wide and 1.4 inches in height.
Apple didn’t work much on the design of the TV, but they did an extraordinary job when it comes to the remote. The Siri button has moved to the side just like the iPhone, and the remote now has a touch-enabled control for Gestures. Somethings like the Accelerometer and the Gyroscope have been removed from the new remote.
Though the exterior design hasn’t changed, the interior of the Apple TV is fully upgraded and now has the powerful A12 processor, which has a better performance than the previous Apple TV 4K, which had an A10X processor. The A12 processor has a better frame rate support and faster files transfer. It loads the Apple Arcade games much faster and supports Wi-Fi 6.
